Newport v Wrexham to be televised

The Welsh derby between Newport County and Wrexham is to be televised will now be played on  Sunday, 5 September (1pm kick-off).

The match was meant to take place on Saturday 4 but a new television deal means it has been moved.

The match is part of a deal between the Blue Square Premier and Premier Sports TV which will show 30 matches over the next three years.

The 30 matches selected for broadcast will include all five Blue Square Premier play-offs.

To obtain this service, the monthly subscription to Premier Sports TV is £6.99.

The Conference receive 50% of all subscriptions once a nominal level of subscribers has been achieved.

Newport are back in the Blue Square Conference Premier for the first time in 21 years having won the Conference South Division last season.

Wrexham are hoping it is third time lucky as they try and make a return to the Football League.
