Gareth Thomas is in talks to return to rugby union, just months after moving to rugby league.
Thomas’ management have confirmed he will see out his contract with the Celtic Crusaders which runs out next September.
The former Wales and British and Lions captain’s management have also stressed that Thomas wants to move to London.
Discussions are underway with three rugby union clubs; London Welsh, London Scottish and London Blackheath.
Thomas switched codes earlier this year when he left Cardiff Blues to join Super League side Crusaders, based in Wrexham.
Not only did his arrival raise the profile of the 13-man game in a country obsessed by union, Thomas also played well enough to earn a place in the Wales’ league side.
He scored a try on his international debut in Wales 13-6 defeat to Italy on October 6.
