RSPCA appeal for information after dog found shot in Cardiff

The RSPCA is appealing for information after the body of a badly mutilated dog was found in the Fairwater area of Cardiff, the animal had been shot.

Members of the public made the discovery on 22 October near the Fairwater Leisure Centre on Waterhall Road.

The animal was found under a tree, lying in deep pools of water. Veterinary examination revealed that the dog had been shot through the nose and his upper and lower jaws shattered.

RSPCA inspector Selina Chan said: “This was a very nasty incident and the animal sustained horrific injuries before dying.

“I would urge anyone who knows anything about this crime to contact me as soon as possible.”
