Prince William talks about his “pre-wedding nerves” and his role as an RAF search and rescue pilot in Wales

Prince William talks about his job as a search and rescue pilot based in RAF Valley on Anglesey, six months after graduating from his pilot training.

The Prince, who is due to marry his partner Kate Middleton later this month, says that the work is incredibly rewarding.

“Everyday you come into work and don’t know what’s going to happen, it’s quite exciting in that sense.” he added.

Describing his evasion of the spotlight during his recent stag-do the Prince said he was pleased to have “out-foxed” the media and that the pre-wedding send off had been planned like “a military operation”

With just four weeks until the big day William has also spoken of his pre-wedding nerves.

“I did a rehearsal the other day and my knees started tapping quite nervously, so it’s a daunting prospect and very exciting but there’s a lot of planning still to be done in the last four weeks.”
