Queen visits Prince William at RAF Valley on Anglesey

High winds meant a tour of an RAF Sea King helicopter which Prince William flies was moved inside a hanger instead of outside

Prince William has been showing his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II around RAF Valley on Anglesey and describing his work as a helicopter search and rescue pilot.

William an RAF search and rescue pilot for the north Wales based team showed Her Majesty around one of the Sea King helicopters he flies as part of his work.

The visit comes four weeks before the prince marries Kate Middleton. It has been confirmed that the bride will have wedding rings of Welsh gold.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were given a personal tour of one of the helicopters he flies with the team he has described as his “family in the sky”.

It the first time the royal couple have visited their grandson in his rescue pilot role.
