Deeside Toyota factory temporary suspension of production due to Japanese quake

Car manufacturer Toyota has suspended production temporarily across a number of its European factories, including it’s engine-making plant in Deeside.

The company says the stoppage is due to a shortage of supplies from Japan, caused by the earthquake and tsunami.

The stoppage will happen for several days this month and next in five of the company’s factories across Europe.

The shutdown affects Toyota’s other British plant in Derbyshire, as well as Adapazari in Turkey, Valenciennes in France, and Jelcz-Laskowice in Poland.
