Ffion murder trial jury given majority direction

After nearly 13 hours of deliberation in four days, the jury in the Ffion Wyn Roberts murder case has been given a majority direction by Mr Justice Lloyd Jones at Caernarfon crown court this morning.

He has told the jury he will accept a majority verdict from ten of the twelve jurors.

Iestyn Davies, a 54-year-old woolpacker, denies the murder of 22-year-old care worker Ffion.

Ffion’s body was found in a drainage ditch near her home at Porthmadog in April 2010.
