Unlawful killing verdict returned in soldier inquest

An inquest into the death of five British soldiers attacked by an Afghan policeman has returned a verdict of unlawful killing.

The troops were gunned down without warning by the officer at an Afghan National Police checkpoint in Nad-e-Ali in Helmand Province on November 3, 2009.

One of the five, Corporal Nicholas Webster-Smith, grew up in Carmarthen.
