Pembrokeshire Chocolate Farm workers make YouTube plea to save Pemberton’s

Pemberton’s Chocolate Farm at Llanboidy in Pembrokeshire has been up for sale for a year but no buyer has yet been found. Now the workforce there have made a worldwide appeal on the internet for an investor to save their jobs.

It’s a thriving business – making more than 200 different types of chocolate and attracting around 30,000 visitors every year – but the owner is retiring and the farm is set to close at the end of this month.

The farm employs up to twenty people at the height of the season in an area where jobs are scarce. The staff have made a video appealing for help to find either a buyer or an investor. There’s already been interest from America but time is running out.
